Vermont | _ | | _ | | | Killington Resort, located in central Vermont, stretches across seven mountains with 200 diverse trails and 33 lifts. Killington averages 250 inches of natural snow each winter. That, coupled with the country's most extensive snowmaking system, has allowed Killington to offer the longest season in eastern North America for 43 consecutive years and counting.
Killington`s wintertime slopes transform into a summertime Adventure Center filled with exciting activities for every age. From wet-n-wild fun in our water slides, to a leisurely stroll to the summit of Killington Peak, to hiking and mountain biking on a network of over 45 miles of lift-serviced trails, Killington`s got more fun than ever for the whole family.
Sure the snow gods do right by us every winter and dump 250 inches of natural snow, but why should we wait around for them to let the good times roll? We've built the largest and most extensive snowmaking system anywhere in the world. Mighty enough to blanket a total of 1,182 acres of beginner, intermediate and advanced terrain with Signature Snow, some of the lightest, driest snow you'll find anywhere. In fact, we can open terrain on all seven mountains without a single flake of natural snow.

Since the ski area shares its name with the town, there's no confusion about where you're headed, and the "Ski capital of the East" is an easy, enjoyable trip from just about anywhere. Located in north-central Vermont, we're 40 minutes from Vermont's largest airport, 15 minutes from Interstate 89, and 15 minutes from the train station. Clear signs, light traffic, well-maintained roads, and pretty countryside make it a pleasant drive from the airport or other northeastern locations.
Mt. Mansfield is Vermont's highest peak and offers a wide range of terrain for every ability level. It's known for the double-black diamond (most difficult) "Front Four" trails, but also offers some great intermediate cruisers and a lovely group of beginner trails in the Toll House area. Spruce Peak is geared toward beginner and intermediate skiers and riders. Little Spruce - the area nearest the Spruce Base Lodge - is a great place to learn, while Big Spruce is the next step up.
